As you may know, we have made changes to the Lounge on the first floor of the Club. The Property Committee and History & Fine Arts Committee worked over the past year to improve the room yet preserve its Clubhouse look.  We have painted the ceiling, installed new lighting and new doors to the veranda, refinished the floor, and we better arranged our artwork and trophies.  Please take the time to enjoy the improvements. The priority for the room now is a set of new captain's chairs (shown below) for the new tables that were crafted by Vice Commodore Bill Dingwell and the staff.  Since the cost of these chairs was not included in the budget for the lounge, a donation plan has been devised and approved by the Board. Members will have the opportunity to donate a captain's chair to the lounge.  The NBYC burgee will be on the front, and a 2” x 3” brass plaque engraved with appropriate words on the back.  It is a high quality arm chair and a sample can be seen in the lounge now.  The chairs are available at our cost of $350.00.  If the turn out is greater than the number of chairs needed for the lounge, we may use the chairs elsewhere in the Club.  Also, members may purchase these chairs for their personal use. Just fill out the order form below and return it to NBYC.
