Welcome to New Bedford Yacht Club! The winter is almost over and spring arrives shortly at NBYC. The web calendar of events for this season is being updated.  To see schedules for the office, launch, Earle's Place and the fuel dock go to Clubhouse/Schedules. Tavern Nights will return on Friday, March 21st and continue thru May 9th, 2008. We have improved lighting in the Dining Room, leveled the porch and have a new shine on the wood floor.  New shades have been installed so we can continue to see our beautiful sunsets.  Come on down! NBYC will be host the following Regattas in 2008; the Laser Masters from June 20-22nd, our annual NBJR in June 28 & 29th, (notice the earlier date change) and the Rhodes 19 Nationals August 20-22nd.  We encourage our members to volunteer their time to make these events a success.  Go to the Regattas section of our website to find additional information. Remember, NBYC allows private functions in the clubhouse when sponsored by a member. We offer this after Labor Day through Memorial Day as dates are available. Because of our limited staff and parking, we do not sponsor events from Mid May through Labor Day.  If you are interested in hosting an event here at the Club, please contact me to discuss the date and details. NBYC is pleased to welcome visiting yachtsmen from sister clubs. If you wish information about visiting Padanaram Harbor please contact us in advance of your visit so we may accommodate your group.   Please let me or any NBYC staff know if there is anything we can do to make your time at the club more enjoyable.  As your manager I welcome your comments; my door is always open.
