Buzzards Bay Regatta
August 4-6, 2017
The 45th edition of this late summer classic is on track to be an exciting event, drawing boats from local, traditional classes as well as from some of the most popular sportboats currently on the racing circuit.
We are proud to offer a variety of classes for this year's regatta! As a nod to the future, we will be hosting kiteboards at this year's BBR! They will be launching and sailing out of West Island in Fairhaven, but will very much be a part of the social and shore side activites at the Club following racing each night.
We will be using multiple channels to keep participants updated as the planning progresses. Please take a minute to like, follow or join our Twitter, Facebook or Instagram feeds or drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org to join the mailing list. We can’t wait to see you on the starting line in August.
The following classes are invited to participate in BBR 2017:
Event registration includes launch/haul for the one design fleets and a mooring for the weekend for all classes. A late harbor start on Friday with racing extending into the evening should offer competitors the opportunity to experience the famous afternoon Buzzards Bay Sou’Westers and reduce the burden on skippers and crew to get the boat ready for the event.
The 2017 Race Officers for the event are as follows:
Spyder Fortier- PHRF & Multihull
Charlie Cooper- One-Design Keelboat
Matt Hill- Bullseyes & H-12s
Event Registration opens on March 28th – register early and become part of the next era of Buzzards Bay Regatta.
