We are happy to announce the 2011 PHRF New Bedford Fleet Championship will take place on September 24th and 25th.  Open to all Monohulls with an overall length of 18 feet or more, whose owner is a member of the PHRF New Bedford Fleet. This year we will have a combined score event with two great weekend races.

The first event will be the Low Tide Yacht Club’s annual “Last Chance Regatta” pursuit race. This race is a 20+nm race that will start and finish off Ft. Taber sending sailors around Buzzards Bay on a multi leg course. The second race will be New Bedford Yacht Club’s “End of Summer Regatta” starting and finishing in the vicinity of Padanaram breakwater.  This race splits boats into classes according to ratings and is also sailed in Buzzards Bay but at shorter distance.

Overall winners will be determined by combined scores using a percentage formula in case of large differences of entries in each class. There will be both spinnaker and non-spinnaker classes and if entries allow further splits will be decided by race committee.
