For beginner sailors who have completed the third grade and/or will be eight years old by August 31, 2008. This class is designed to introduce young sailors to the Optimist.  Children who are new to our program and/or have completed less than 2 sessions of Little Mariners would benefit from inclusion in this class. Knowledge of the boat, rigging, basic sailing, water safety and confidence in handling all points of sailing are emphasized.   Opti 1B meets Tuesday, Thursday morning from 8:30am-12:00pm and Friday afternoons from 1:00pm-4:00pm.
