Programs

Introduction
The New Bedford Yacht Club Junior Sailing School is a state-of-the-art sailing program. Since the beginning in 1952, the main objective has been to create an environment, which fosters a life-long love and interest of sailing through its fun, safe, and instructional environment.
Every effort will be made to accommodate all applicants. In order for our program not to exceed the maximum class size, the following policy will be in effect for the acceptance of students into the program each year.
Members will have first preference for acceptance into the school and subsequently for advancement into higher levels. The policy is in effect only for applications received by the deadline. Applications received after the deadline will be processed in the order in which they are received regardless of membership status.
Students must complete the requirements for the lower level in order to be eligible to advance into the higher levels.
Children must have the necessary qualifications to be eligible for the Racing Group.
We anticipate that it will take most students eight (8) weeks to complete these courses.
