New Bedford Yacht Club's outstanding instructional staff is one of the hallmarks of the program. Each instructor is US Sailing Level I certified and is trained in both CPR and basic First Aid. Many of our upper level staff are also US Sailing Level II certified. The New Bedford Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program maintains the national standard student to instructor ratio of 7:1.
Program Director	Oversees the staff and the curriculum of the Junior Program. He/she works with the Sailing School Board to hire the staff, set up the curriculum, and maintain the entire organization.
Senior Sailing Instructors	Teaches the Learn to Sail classes. Working with them will be 7 Junior Instructors.
420 Race Coaches	Oversees all 420 Racing and 420 Learn to Race.
Opti Race Coaches	Oversees the Optimist race team and Opti III/LTR class.
Junior Instructors	Junior Instructors are members of the 420 Race Team and are part-time teachers who assist the Learn to Sail staff.
